Sedano's Corporate - Hialeah (18610 NW 87th Ave #300, Hialeah Fl 33015) - Shift/Turno: Full-Time/Tiempo Completo (Flexible; Morning or afternoon/Flexible; Por la mañana o por la tarde) - The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and managing all HR functions across the organization, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, compliance, and culture initiatives. This strategic leader ensures the HR strategy aligns with overall business goals and fosters a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on organizational and workforce planning.
    • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, performance, and culture.
  • Talent Management
    • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
    • Develop talent pipelines and succession planning processes.
    • Lead performance management and employee development programs.
  • Compensation & Benefits
    • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and market competitiveness.
    • Evaluate and recommend benefit programs and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Employee Relations
    • Serve as a point of contact for conflict resolution and employee concerns.
    • Promote a positive and respectful work environment.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Compliance & HR Operations
    • Oversee HR systems, recordkeeping, and reporting processes.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change and influence organizational culture.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Retail setting managing workforce of 3,500+ preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR).
  • Demonstrated success in building diverse and inclusive workplaces.
  • Experience in building processes, systems, and teams from ground up.
  • Bilingual: English, Spanish.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Retail setting managing workforce of 3,500+ preferred.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations with directors, managers, customers (both internal and external) and the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with a high standard of integrity and reliability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; resolve workplace conflicts
  • Proficient ability to use a computer to accomplish essential duties of this position
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to work any schedule or shift in order to complete assignments or reach goals
